Sabbatical Housing

Since 1976, our sabbatical house listing service has posted furnished houses for rent. Our site lists both HOUSES FOR RENT and HOUSE SEARCHES, with the houses for rent listed at the top. You do not have to be a member of UFC to list a house. We require a donation of $150.00 per listing, which is used to fund scholarships. The ads on our website are updated throughout the month, with the most recent addition listed first.

HOUSES FOR RENT

Hollister Road, Woodland, Available Winter Quarter January-March 2026

$3,000.00 per month. Our home is a fully furnished 3 bedroom, 1 and 1/2 bath Spanish-style Heritage Home with oak flooring throughout in an historic neighborhood. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, the second bedroom has a queen-sized bed. There is a separate shower and tub in main bathroom. The third bedroom in the basement doubles as a gym (see photos), has a TV and a daybed that makes into a king-sized bed and two closets. There is a large living room with TV and fireplace, formal dining room, den with TV and fireplace, large kitchen, garage, and laundry room with washer and dryer. The backyard is fenced in, has a covered patio, fountain, BBQ, and jacuzzi spa. The home has central heat/air, garage and additional parking, internet/WIFI, and satellite TV.
Weekly yard service is included, and housecleaning can be arranged for a fee. 
The neighborhood is quiet with a 3-minute walk to the park. The park has tennis, pickle ball, large oak trees, picnic tables, and a very nice play structure for kids. The downtown area is a 10–15-minute walk for restaurants, bars, churches, bakery, the historic opera house, multiplex theater, and grocery store. The neighbors are friendly and considerate. UCD is a 15-minute drive by car or a 25-minute YOLO Bus ride. The state capitol in Sacramento is a 30-minute drive and there is an Amtrak train station in Davis, with destinations in every direction. Bikes available for tenant’s use. No smoking inside, no pets. Owner pays City services (water, sewer, garbage), weekly gardener, internet, and satellite TV. Tenant pays gas, and electric.
