Patris will be our instructor as we use colored pencils to create our designs. Patris owns the Patris studio and Gallery in the Oak Park neighborhood of Sacramento - northern California's premier art venue for art classes, workshops and painting sessions. An affirming, excellent teacher, Patris also runs workshops for the Crocker Museum of Art.

Join us for a wonderful day in the Gold Country! First, we'll visit Empire Mine State Park. Empire Mine was one of the oldest, deepest and richest gold mines in California. We'll have a private tour of the early 1900's Bourn Mansion, landscaped gardens with gorgeous fall colors, and historic mining buildings.
After our tour, we'll head to downtown Grass Valley for lunch at Tofanelli's Gold Country Bistro, a classic, local restaurant established in 1890. Lunch is included in the price from a selection of three entrees.
After lunch, we'll have plenty of time to shop at the Mill Street Downtown Promenade and areas close by. Besides excellent locally-owned apparel shops, art galleries, bookstores and home goods stores, there are plenty of interesting historic buildings to explore: the Wheel Museum, the historic Carnegie Library and the Holbrooke Hotel, a California state landmark.

Whether plain and crispy from the olive oil, flavored with herbs or topped with vegetables, focaccia is a surprisingly simple bread that gives you a lot of flavor for very little effort. While the bread bakes, we will make a hearty fall vegetable salad to enjoy with your focaccia for lunch. This will be a great tool to have for the holidays!

Start the holiday season with UFC friends as we gather once again at El Macero to enjoy a festive sit-down dinner.
Our theme this year, Gingerbread Joy, evoked childhood memories of gingerbread houses, so we recreated them as our centerpieces!
Savor a glass of wine or cocktail from the bar while viewing these beautifully decorated member-made houses.
The sit-down dinner will offer a house salad of baby kale, roasted butternut squash, dried apples and candied pecans along with rolls and butter. For our entrees there will be a choice of Chicken Piccata or a Seasonal Vegan Quinoa Bowl. To end the meal on a convivial note we will offer assorted dessert bars, ginger snaps and coffee.
The cost for the event is $72 and the registration deadline is Friday, November 21st. Reserve your spot online soon, as this event has limited seating and the reservations fill quickly. Reservation cards will be available at check-in to save a seat at your table of choice.

Explore all the charm of Winters while looking for unique gifts in the local shops. As a special treat we will be extended a discount at Indigo & Co. boutique, one of the newer shops on Main Street in Winters.
Lunch options include BBQ Pork Sandwich with apple fennel cole slaw and fries, Reuben Sandwich on Rye (corned beef-provolone) with fries, Caesar Salad (baby gem lettuce-house made croutons) with 6 oz Mary's grilled chicken breast, or Vegan Chilled Grain Bowl (quinoa-hummus-seasonal vegetables-achiote sauce).
