Every December, the historic California Gold Rush town of Nevada City transforms into a Victorian delight featuring music, costumed carolers, horse-drawn carriages and over 120 artisan craft and food vendors. A shuttle will transport us from the parking lot of the Eric Rood Center to the downtown festivities where we will spend approximately 3 hours. Wear comfortable shoes and dress in warm layers. Many festival goers wear period costumes! Although this is generally a rain or shine event, extreme weather could cause the event to be cancelled.
At 12 noon our carpool will leave from the Target parking lot located at 601 2nd St., Davis; we will drive 75 miles to the Eric Rood Center located at 950 Maidu Avenue, Nevada City. A shuttle bus will then take us to the downtown festival. Guests/relatives might choose to informally join us by meeting the carpool at the Eric Rood Center.
Lunch, libations and shopping on your own.
Cost: $8.00, must bring cash for the shuttle
Reservation Period: October 15, 2026 - November 30, 2026
